Fishing Reports 10/22/25

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of October 22:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

EXCELLENT. Water stained; 75 degrees; 2.22 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.64 pounds are excellent in 3-8 feet of water on buzz baits and topwater frogs in the shoreline grass, and on chatterbaits, crankbaits and jigs in the brush 5-12 feet of water. Crappie are excellent with catches up to 12 inches on minnows and jigs on the main lake scattered brush piles in 12-20 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.50 pounds on crappie jigs and crankbaits out of the lights at night, with some schooling action in open water on the main lake. Catfish are good on jug lines with cut shad or perch on the main lake flats and drains 10-20 feet of water.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 87 degrees; 15.83 feet above pool. Fishing conditions are pleasant with nice weather, and anglers are having success using minnows and worms, which are producing steady bites across the lake. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 82 degrees; 2.56 feet below pool. Bass are fair to 3 pounds on small finesse worms in 10-15 feet of water. Crappie good to 2 pounds on jigs and minnows in 10-15 feet of water on the main lake docks and in the timber towards the creek.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water stained; 75 degrees; 18.73 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 6 pounds. Bass are best on topwaters, or walking baits early around dead salt cedar in pockets with 5 feet of water or less. Work around bushes in 8 feet of water or less with 6 inch green pumpkin senkos with a lightweight rigged Texas rigs. Crappie are good with reports of limits. Fish are suspended in 18 feet of water with the best bite on minnows but some bites with jigs. Catfish are suspended with a good bite on cut shad and stink bait under corks. LAKE PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 84 degrees; 2.32 feet below pool. Catfish are good on the dam side from the bank with worms or cut bait. Reports of sand bass and hybrids catches with topwater lures.
