The next election day is Tuesday, November 4.  Early voting is underway now through Friday, October 31.  On the ballot will be seventeen proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.  (Also on the ballot in Blanket will be a proposed sales tax; and in Brookesmith candidates for the Brookesmith Special Utility District.)  For information on the proposed amendments, see below the Non-Partisan Voters Guide provided with permission by the League of Women Voters of Texas.  According to LWV of Texas, “The Constitutional Amendment Voters Guide includes easy-to-understand explanations and arguments for and against each of the seventeen proposed amendments.”  Printed copies of the Voters Guide are available at the Brownwood Community Library.
