Kenneth “Ken” Murry

MurryKenMemorial Service for Kenneth “Ken” Murry, age 60, of Brownwood will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Harris officiating; interment will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Cottonwood Cemetery near Rowlett, Texas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Ken went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Ken was born on March 2, 1956, to Henry Garland and Mary Edith (Foster) Murry in Rockwall, Texas. Ken was a “man’s man” and a sports fanatic; he loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was very friendly, never meeting a stranger, and had friends by the number. Ken enjoyed barbequing with family and friends and playing dominoes. Ken loved the Lord and knew he was his Savior.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Keli Murry Lane; son, Shane Murry; grandchildren, Shea Murry, Landan Murry, Lilly Murry, Lane Murry and Brayden Murry; brother, Larry Murry and wife Marie; life partner of 24 years, Yvonne Romero; step-children, Christopher Romero and wife Bonnie, Shena Romero, Angel Romero, Yvette Torres; numerous step-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends. He was “Uncle Ken” to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Mary Murry; cousin and best friend, Butch; as well as, many other family members.
