He was born on August 14, 1944, in San Saba to Elvin D. Ketchum and Bernice Felts Ketchum. On September 24, 1966, Leroy married the love of his life, Gracie, beginning a marriage filled with laughter, love, and lifelong companionship. After retiring, he continued to serve his community by working for the County of San Saba for eight years. Outside of work, Leroy lived life to the fullest. He raised and trained cutting horses, enjoyed roping, rodeos, and working cattle, and loved nothing more than being outdoors. Whether he was hauling his kids to rodeos, hunting, or sitting outside visiting with friends and loved ones, Leroy found joy in simple pleasures and good company. He will be remembered for his kind heart, easy smile, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.
