Brown County Sheriff's Office Report: Sept. 24

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

On 09/22/2025, at 0805 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson conducted a traffic stop on a red 2014 Kia Forte in the block of Davis Lane for failing to drive on the right side of the roadway. After investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Melinda Richardson, was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions without insurance.
On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was dispatched to Drisco Drive, Brownwood, Texas 76801, Starr Sales in regard to a theft. The owner of Starr Sales explained two smokers were taken from this location without consent. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On 09/23/2025, at 1549 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched Walk-in in reference to a scam. Frederica Gotez said she was attempting to buy a horse from Wayne Walker on Facebook. Information was obtained and a report has been made.
