Benny Frank Bailey, 78, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025. A lifelong resident of Brownwood, Benny was born on April 16, 1947, and remained deeply rooted in the community he loved.

A graduate of Brownwood High School, Benny went on to serve his country with pride and honor. He enlisted in the United States Navy as an electrician, serving during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Kearsarge. He later continued his service in the Texas National Guard.

Following his military service, Benny began a long and fulfilling career with 3M in Brownwood, where he worked with dedication until his retirement. His discipline, work ethic, and sense of duty left a lasting impression on his coworkers and friends.

Benny had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Yet his greatest joy was found in time spent with his family—sharing life with his beloved wife, Susan, raising their son, Thomas, and helping family and friends whenever needed. His generosity, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand defined his character and will remain his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Susan Bailey; his brothers, Roy and Walter Bailey; and his parents, Joe and Thelma Bailey. He is survived by his son, Thomas Bailey, who will carry forward his father’s legacy of strength, love, and generosity.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood, under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
