Glen Roy Muhle, age 81, of May, Texas passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025 in Brownwood. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 20 from 2 to 4 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Glen was born on July 11, 1944 in Gorman, Texas to Paul Andrew and Catherine (Lester) Muhle, the youngest of six children. He was raised in May and graduated from May High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, he left Texas and moved to Hawthorne, Nevada to be near his sister Betty. While in Hawthorne he married, had a daughter and worked for the Naval Ammunition Depot there. He moved back to Texas in 1974 and worked in the oil field until 1976 when he then went to work at 3M in Brownwood. After thirty years with 3M, he retired in January 2006. It wasn’t long before he was back in May raising hay grazer and tending to his herd of cows that he referred to as his “girls”.

Glen also loved to fish, and was an avid reader and history buff. He loved his family, all animals, his farm, a good meal and ice-cold beer on a hot summer day.

Glen is survived by his daughter, Kathy McDorman and husband Steve; two grandchildren, Kristina Clevenger and husband Trey, Ky McDorman and wife Hillary; two great grandchildren, Cope Clevenger and Hagen McDorman – all of May, Texas; his two cats, Little Girl and Pico; his two dogs, Bandit 2.0and Freddy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Catherine Muhle; two brothers, Lester Muhle and Paul Joseph Muhle and his wife Iola; three sisters, Betty White, Caroline Goins and her husband Roy and Donella Settle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center 3016 Milam Dr., Brownwood, TX 76801 or to the Wolf Valley Cemetery Association

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Muhle family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
