
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On 09/05/25, at approximately 1501 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to handle a criminal trespass complaint by phone. The complainant, Tara Kerr, stated her cousin, GREENE CHRISTINE, and her husband, JAMES GREENE, were leasing out her land to people to hunt on without permission. Deputy Fox gathered information and was able to serve criminal trespass warnings to GREENE and JAMES on 09/07/25. A report was made.
- On 09/07/2025 Deputy John Geis was dispatched to 202 West Spencer St, Bangs, TX 76823 regarding an assault. Deputy Geis arrived and spoke to an Ashley Crowder and Aaron Tutt, who claimed GOMEZ, DANESSA had put eyedrops into their drink and tricked them into drinking it, causing them to get sick. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On 09/07/2025 Deputy John Geis was dispatched to 202 West Spencer St, Bangs, TX 76823 regarding an assault. - On 09/08/2025, at approximately 1217 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified by dispatch of a walk-in complaint related to Theft. The victims had paid for and provided car parts to be installed onto their motor vehicle, which were never installed and never returned by the body shop. It was later learned through the victims’ insurance, multiple other parts were missing as well, including the catalytic converter. New damage was also evaluated by the insurance adjuster. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- On Monday, September 8, 2025, at approximately 1208 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Francisco Valencia was dispatched to W US 67, Bangs, TX regarding the burglary of a storage unit. The complainant stated the lock to his storage unit was cut, and he was missing items from inside the unit, mostly knives and jewelry. Information was gathered and a report was made.
