Brownwood Fire Department – Fire & Rescue Reports 2/29

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the period of February 22 – 28, 2016 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 39 medical emergencies, 1 fire calls, and 3 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest that the Brownwood Fire Department responded to include:

Wednesday, February 24

*1:10 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  Fire crews responded to a power line which was arcing.  Upon arrival, firefighters found that a line was hitting an insulator and Oncor was notified.

Friday, February 26

*2:35 PM –  Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident near the intersection of Coggin Avenue and 8th Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find the driver had removed himself from the vehicle and had only minor injuries.

Satuday, February 27

*11:09 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 3300 block of County Road 234.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a single vehicle which had struck a bridge.  Firefighters assisted EMS with packaging the patient for transport.

*7:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries at Coggin Avenue and 3rd Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle had struck a pole.
