Francisco “Frank” Martinez, 81, of Coleman died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 303 East College Avenue, Coleman.  Burial will be in the Sonora Cemetery in Sonora.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Frank was born May 24, 1934 in Sonora to Augustine Martinez and Hermelinda Flores Martinez.  He grew in Sonora and attended school there.  On February 6, 1958, he married Odelia Duran in Sonora.  He worked for Brown and Root, Ford Allen, Herb McKee and the City of Coleman from 1991 until he retired in 2001 as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Odelia Martinez of Coleman; one daughter, Delma Martinez of Coleman; one son, Frank Martinez, Jr. and wife, Kathryn, of Keller; two brothers, Augustine Martinez, Jr. and wife, Yolanda, of Ozona, Harold Martinez and wife, Benita, of Sonora and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Delores Martinez.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
