Tuesday, February 16

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy received a report of a dog bite.  According to the report, the victim was bitten while delivering packages for a shipping company.  Contact was made with the dog owner who was advised he needed to quarantine the dog for 10 days.

Wednesday, February 17

*1:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Lee regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, officers determined 43-year-old Shelley Demyan of Brownwood to be the primary aggressor, and she was subsequently arrested for injury to a child, elderly or disabled person.

*4:50 PM – Brownwood Police observed a vehicle fail to signal a lane change while driving down W. Commerce.  A traffic stop was made in the 1500 block of Beaver Street, which led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 31-year-old Joseph Daniel Ramirez for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*10:32 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a hit and run accident in the 1000 block of Lackey Street.  According to the report, a yellow Volkswagon Beetle had run into the caller’s yard, hit several trees and then drove away.  The caller reported that the vehicle was parked at the corner of Lackey and Durham Avenue and the suspect vehicle and driver were located by police, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 19-year-old Jessie Devin Walker of Brownwood, for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, according to the report.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Ashlyn Brooke Daniels of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Terrence Alonzo Jackson of Santa Anna on a warrant related to motion to revoke/continuous violence against family.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Eric Glenn Lee II of Abilene on a Taylor County warrant related to failure to appear.  Lee was later released on $28,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Tamahn Lafree Riggins for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Thursday, February 18

*12:38 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made consensual contact with a subject in front of a residence in the 2100 block of Brady Avenue regarding suspicious behavior the deputy had observed while the subject was previously driving a vehicle.  According to the report, while speaking with the subject, a consent search of the subject was conducted which resulted in the discovery of a plastic straw and small plastic baggie containing methamphetamine residue. The subject, later identified as 39-year-old Micky Don Valverde was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, failure to identify fugitive, and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.  Valverde was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from the Department of Pardon and Parole.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
