NOTICE OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
SPECIAL-CALLED PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Texas Local Government Code §211.007, and Section 98-84 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, a special-called public hearing will be held by the City of Brownwood Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas, for the purpose of receiving comments on the following requests:

Request to change the zoning classification of 1505 Beaver St.; being Outlot 350, also known as Property ID 58899, from R-3, Multifamily Residential District, to C-1, Local Business District.

Consider a proposed amendment to the City of Brownwood Code of Ordinances, Chapter 98, Section 98-431, addressing the restriction of game room operations within the C-2A Downtown Business District.

Consider a proposed amendment to the City of Brownwood Code of Ordinances, Chapter 98, Section 98-561, Chart of Permissible Uses to add permissible zoning locations for game rooms within the city limits of the City of Brownwood.
It is requested that you make your views known, either in person, by writing, or by a duly authorized representative to aid the Planning and Zoning Commission in determining the proper action on this request. Following the public hearing the Commission may recommend the proposed request to the City Council.
