Suzanne Delcontey, age 92, passed away on August 4, 2025. She was born in Champaign, Illinois, to Eugene MacMillan and Martha Arbogast.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 8, at 2 P.M. at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Tx.

Suzanne lived a full and remarkable life. She worked in the banking business early in her career, later serving as a loan officer at Hillcrest Bank in Dallas, Texas. She went on to dedicate over a decade of service to the Broward County Sheriff’s Department in Florida— a role she was proud of and deeply committed to.

On November 12, 1988, Suzanne married the love of her life, Nicholas Joseph Delcontey Jr. They shared 33 happy years together until his passing in 2021. In 2005, the couple moved to Brownwood, Texas, where they enjoyed their retirement years.

Suzanne loved the colors blue and white, as they reminded her of the coast— her favorite place to be. She found peace and beauty in the ocean and carried that love with her throughout her life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marian Elizabeth Walker and husband Clarence Jr., and Martha Suzanne Rubash and husband William Daniel; her stepdaughter, Brenda Jelnicki; her granddaughter, Kathryn Dedrick; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Dedrick and Emmalina Rivera; and a close family friend who was like family, Roxanne Dedrick and her husband Robert.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Joseph Delcontey Jr., her parents, her sister Marilyn Serra, and her brother David MacMillan.

She will be remembered for her strength, grace, and love for her family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
