Rodolfo Villarreal

Rodolfo Villarreal, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Coleman Healthcare in Coleman, Texas. He was born on March 9, 1941, in Abilene, Texas, where he grew up and attended school. Rodolfo dedicated many years of his life to the road crew, serving with diligence as the person in charge of the road roller during the construction of new roads and the repair of existing ones.

Rodolfo was a man of few words but deeply cherished his family with immense love. He was a member of the Catholic Faith, and those who knew him can attest to his gentle and quiet personality. Rodolfo enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

Rodolfo is survived by his children, Kathy Hernandez and husband Sergio of Abilene, Ricky Villarreal and wife Stephanie of Granbury, and Israel “Bee” Villarreal of Abilene. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Domingo Villarreal, Jr. and wife Eva of Abilene, Dolores McLamore and husband Harlan of Abilene, and Geneva Rodriguez of Lubbock.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Villarreal, Sr. and Cresencia Chia Villarreal; his stepmother, Natividad Villarreal; one son, Benny Villarreal; and his siblings, Josie Cisneros, Juanita Moreno, and Pasqual Villarreal. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his stepsiblings, Nick Flores, Pete Flores, Alfred Flores, Joe Louis Flores, Carmen Diaz, and Joe Lupino Flores.

The family will host a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service celebrating his life at 12:00 noon, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Rodolfo Villarreal’s legacy of love, hard work, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
