Brownwood and Early Continue to See Sales Tax Revenue Growth

comptrollerlogo2Texas State Comptroller Glenn Hegar released sales tax allocation numbers for January which showed an increase in sales tax collections in Brown County cities of Brownwood and Early.

The growth in allocations for Brownwood and Early remain in a positive growth pattern for the year to date numbers as well.  Cities of Bangs and Blanket slipped slightly this past month as compared to December of 2014.  The largest increases in allocations were paid to Brownwood and Early with increased allocations of 14.25% and 14.35%respectively.

The sales tax figures are based on sales made in November by businesses that report tax monthly.
