HallHe rode down the trail from Earth’s Sunset to Heaven’s Golden Sunrise…Alvin Hall went to be with his Lord and Savior Whom he served his entire life on Thursday, January 14, 2016.  Funeral services will be at the Brownwood Evangelism Center on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2 PM.  The family received friends from 6-8 Friday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Alvin lived a very full life that always involved family and children.  He was Scout Master for Troop 3 of the Boy Scouts of America, where he had several Eagle Scouts; served on many committees and was Assistant Scout Master of Troop 1 with Jimmy Wilkins.  He loved camping, hunting, fishing and just about anything else you could do outdoors.  He also loved bluegrass music.  Alvin was a member of Brownwood Evangelism where he served on the church board and taught Sunday School.  He was retired from 3M having given them 25 years of service and was a member of the National Life Insurance family for over 18 years.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include his wife, June Hall, of Brownwood; son, Jeff Hall and wife Becky of Kingsland; three daughters, Carolyn Reininger of Mountain City, Beverly Pierce and husband Wayne of Conroe and Joetta Long and husband Bobby of South Houston; brothers, Ancil Hall of Bangs and George Ray Hall of San Angelo; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.C. Hall, brother Henry Lee Hall and sister, Elva Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517
Topeka, Kansas 66675.
