The Early Police Department is currently investigating an incident where a young girl woke up during the night and found a person standing in her bedroom. As soon as the suspect saw the girl was awake, he ran from the house. He entered through an unlocked back door of the residence. Nothing was taken and no one was harmed.

The suspect was described as approximately 5’8-5’10, 180-200 lbs wearing a gray hoodie with the hood over his head; due to it being dark there is no other description. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 am on Rainbow Drive in Early.

There have been other reports observing a subject walking or jogging in that area wearing a gray hoodie both prior to the incident and after the incident. Reports have indicated that the subject may have a limp or has an awkward run when he was seen.

The EPD has identified a couple of potential persons of interest and is currently aggressively investigating the incident to locate the subject.

Early Police officials said that is not an incident to cause panic, but they do always strongly encourage everyone to lock their doors and always report anything suspicious.
