Barnes and Moore Added To 2010 Softball Class

The Howard Payne softball program announced today the addition of Carolyn Barnes and Allison Moore to the 2010 recruitment class. 

Carolyn Barnes and Allison Moore have met all HPU admissions requirements and decided to continue their playing careers at Howard Payne University this next fall.

Carolyn Barnes is a four-year letterman in softball for Glen Rose high school in Glen Rose, Texas. She has received Academic All-District honors every season. Carolyn has also been involved in both the band and choir in high school along with many church activities at the First Baptist Church of Glen Rose. 

Allison Moore is a two-year letterman on the Splendora high school softball team in Splendora, Texas. Splendora is ranked in the top ten in Texas, and was one of the top academic teams in 2008-2009 based on GPA. Allison was awarded the NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete award based on her GPA and will graduate in the top ten her class. She is also involved with FFA, Parliamentarian for National Honor Society, a Member of the Student Council and of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
