High School Regional Qualifiers Track & Field Meet Set for Thursday

brownwoodlionslogoRegional qualifier track and field meets for area high schools will be held in both Brownwood and Zephyr on Thursday as schools get set for the regional competition set for May 3-4.  The competition will be fierce and is sure to bring out the best in the area athletes.

Brownwood’s Gordon Wood Stadium will host over 30 schools.  Field events will begin at 3:30 p.m. and running finals are set to start at 6:30 p.m.  Participating schools include Baird, Bangs girls, Bartlett boys, Bonham boys, Brownwood, Cisco, Coahoma, Comanche, Cooper, Corsicana, De Leon boys, Eastland, Goldthwaite, Gordon girls, Graham, Hamlin girls, Jacksboro, Jim Ned boys, Joshua, Lampasas, Llano boys, Lubbock Roosevelt boys, Mason, Midland Greenwood boys, Newcastle, Reagan County boys, Rising Star boys, San Angelo Central girls, San Angelo Lake View boys, Wellington boys, Whitney girls and Woodson boys.

Zephyr will host more than 20 schools on Thursday.  3:30 p.m. for  field events and 6 p.m. starts the running finals.  Participating high schools include Aquilla, Ballinger, Blanket, Coleman, Cross Plains, De Leon, Early, Eula, Garden City, Gorman, Lingleville, May, Morgan, Novice, Paint Rock, Panther Creek, Priddy, Richland Springs, Robert Lee, Rochelle, San Saba, Sidney and Zephyr.
