Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

TexasParksandwildlifelogoBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes, compiled as reported this week by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Lake Brownwood

Water murky; 67–71 degrees; 1.96′ high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 72–76 degrees; 5.90′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits, soft plastic worms, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on silver spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 53–59 degrees; 45.65′ low. Black bass are fair to good Texas rigs, jigs, squarebill crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs fished shallow. Catfish are fair to good on live bait.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 68–72 degrees; 6.81′ high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
