The Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club will host their monthly luncheon and meeting on Thursday September 24, 11:30 a.m. at the Brownwood Country Club.  The public is encouraged to attend and to invite guests.  The meeting will begin at noon and will end around 12:50 p.m.

Guest speaker Jon Cobb is one of five candidates running for State Senate District 24, the seat which has been held by Senator Troy Fraser since his election in 1997.  A fifth generation Texan, Jon Cobb was raised in San Marcos, Texas in a tight-knit military family. After graduating from San Marcos High School, Jon became the third generation of his family to attend and graduate from Texas A&M.  He is an entrepreneur and small business owner who has helped build homes throughout the greater Austin area.

The Pecan Valley Republican Women and the Brown County Republican Women clubs are working together to give all the candidates running for this office an opportunity to speak at one of their monthly luncheon meetings before the primary elections.
