LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, August 26, 2015:

Monday, August 24

*11:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding theft.

Tuesday, August 25

*Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Belmeade regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*2:20 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 2800 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding theft.  According to the report, two complainants stated that a known suspect stole a pizza from the store where they are employed.

*4:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 28-year-old Rena Tapp of Brownwood for theft equal or greater than $50.

*6:07 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Walnut and Belle Plain Streets regarding an assault.  According to the report, an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (knife) was documented.

*7:16 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between August 20 and this date and the suspect is unknown.

*7:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito Drive regarding a hit and run accident.

*7:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated they were assaulted by one of their neighbors.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an online business had created a contract from web marketing of his business and is fraudulently billing his credit card for services he did not authorize.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Daniel Castaneda, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Mobey Cordell Lewis of Big Spring, Texas for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Edward Martinez III of Coleman for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, prohibited weapon and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Darin Frank Witten of Big Spring for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.

Wednesday, August 26

*3:13 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of Mario Guerra for theft over $500.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
