Laura Jean Bell, age 69, of Brady, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Brady. Laura was born on April 8, 1956, in Midland, Texas to Louis Bell and Veda (Potts) Anderson. She grew up in Midland. She worked as a waitress, school bus driver and as a truck driver for several years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and cooking. She had a strong personal faith and was an avid bible reader. She has lived in Brady since 2008.

Funeral services for Laura Jean Bell will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Pastor Chester Plumley officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Friends may view Laura’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign her online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Mick Bell, Phillip Bell, Cole Plumley, Marty Flores, Tyler Tinney and Jon Villareal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Bell and Steven Bell.

Laura Bell is survived by her loving life partner, of over 51 years, James Plumley of Brady; sons Michael Bell and wife Brenda Stratton of Brady, Terry Plumley of Brady and Bruce Plumley and wife Christie of Brady; daughter Audrey Tinney and husband Shawn of Brady; honorary daughter Jaquetta Jones of San Antonio; brothers George Bell and wife Donna of Littlefield, TX, Bruce Bell and wife Lori of Lubbock, TX, James Bell and wife Lisa of Brady, and Joe Black and wife Jenna of Hobbs, New Mexico; sister Mietsy Bell of Oklahoma; several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter-in-law Rachel Garcia and great-grandchildren Camrie and Carter Garcia.
