BYSA 8U All-Stars capture state championship

The Brownwood Youth Softball Association, in collaboration with USA Softball of Texas District 12, is thrilled to announce that the 8U B.Y.S.A. All-Stars achieved an incredible feat by going undefeated in the Area 1 Pixie State Tournament held in Abilene. This remarkable accomplishment earned them the title of State Champions!

Over the course of three days, spanning a total of seven games, the All-Stars showcased their exceptional talent and dedication, amassing a remarkable 85 runs while allowing only 21 runs to their opponents. The roster of the All-Stars consisted of players who embodied the values of talent, sportsmanship, hard work, and respect, proudly representing Brownwood with their marvelous achievements. The team’s performance was nothing short of exceptional.

Several players, including Whitlea Wilson, Kiara Nolasco, and Thea Slusher, were recognized for their outstanding performances, with Kiara Nolasco being crowned the Tournament MVP in the championship game.

The roster consists of #1 Audree Ybarra #6 Ansleigh Edwards #7 Whitlea Wilson #8 Kiara Nolasco #9 Lexi Lawson #11 Jasper Hernandez #12 Stephanie Guzman #13 Jubilee Smith #15 Kylar Keeter #19 Thea Slusher #23 Haigen Gossett #99 Cassidy Haws. Coaches are Rachel Absher, Dustin Lawson, Janna Smith, and Jonathon Wright.
