CityOfEarlySignAccording to City Administrator Tony Aaron, the City of Early and the Early Economic Development Corporation have received a commitment from Early Hospitality Partners for the construction of a Holiday Inn Express in Early, Texas.

Early Hospitality Partners is a part of a wholesale development group from Irving, Texas that specializes in the development of hotel accommodations across the nation. The group anticipates they will close on property located in Early by the end of the summer and expects to break ground by January 2016.  The hotel is planned to be opened by the end of 2016.

The project of between $7,000,000 and $8,000,000 will be the newest architectural design of the Holiday Inn Express franchise.  It will have approximately 80 rooms for rent, a meeting space for around 50 people, and will employ over 20 people, according to Aaron.

Aaron stated that Shawn Russell, the Executive Director of the Early Economic Development Corporation, was instrumental in securing the commitment.  After speaking with the developer, she recognized the potential that a strong relationship with this developer could mean to the citizens of Early, he explained.

“This new development in Early will be a benefit to all of our citizens by encouraging additional growth and development in the area, generating new tax dollars, and will bring more jobs to the City of Early,” said Aaron.  “The Early City Council and Mayor have strongly expressed that one of their goals is to see our community grow and flourish.  With developments in Early such as the Holiday Inn Express, Discount Tire, and more yet to come we know their goals for the community can be accomplished.”
