Funeral Services for Ada Christian, 77, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April, 15, 2010 at the Heartland Funeral Home with Bro. Ruben Packer officiating.  Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.  She passed away Sunday April 11, 2010 at a local nursing home.

Ada Ione Christian was born on June 26, 1932 in Bangs, Texas to John Wesley and Effie Lenore Brown Rosenau.  She grew up in Brown County and attended school in May, Texas.  She was married to Henry Bryant Christian on November 6, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1997. Ada was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, a homemaker and was a lifetime resident of this area.   She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, her cats and knick-knacks.  She also made sure she made a Christian home for her family and was known as the “Neighborhood Mom”.

Survivors include sons:  David Christian & wife Cheryl of Tuscola, Texas and Randy Christine & wife Nadine of Brownwood, Texas;  daughter:  Peggy Parsons and husband Ricky of Brownwood, Texas; grandchildren:  Sarah Speegle & Michael of Abilene, Texas,  Spencer Christian of Tuscola, Texas, Mayra Whitmoyer of Pennsylvania and Anthony Christian of Brownwood, Texas; great grandson:  Landon Whitmoyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Wesley B. Christian, brother Leonard (Bud) Rosenau and a sister Lenzo Ford.
