The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce shared the following information on social  media late Thursday night:

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Lawson as its new Executive Director. Wendy brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the Chamber as it continues its mission of supporting local businesses and economic growth.

To welcome Wendy and give the community an opportunity to meet her, the Chamber will host a reception on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 600 E Depot Street. The event is open to the public and will include light snacks and refreshments.

The Chamber invites all members, partners, and residents to attend the reception and extend a warm welcome to Wendy Lawson.
