Caydon Laird, an Early High School graduate, is enjoying his 2025 Lenoir Rhyne baseball season, as it has been an exciting one as the team has been leading in multiple categories nationally. The 12th-ranked Bears took their 46-12 record into the NCAA D2 Regionals where Laird came in to close the door on 23r- ranked Belmont Abbey, sending LR to the Southeast Regional title game this past Friday night. Laird got another appearance on Saturday night against the 22nd-ranked North Georgia throwing two shutout innings (3K, 0Hits, 0BB) which advances Lenoir Rhyne to their first NCAA Super Regional in a best of 3 series.
