
The Brownwood Art Association is pleased to announce the schedule of summer classes at the Art Center, 215 Fisk in downtown Brownwood.
Classes for Kids
Printmaking Art Camp with Julie Mize will be held June 9-10, from 10 am to 12 noon. This 2-day workshop is for middle and high-school aged students. A variety of methods will be explored, including monoprinting, collaged landscape printing, inkblot prints, patterned design prints, and watercolor effect prints.
Tuition is $55 for both days, and all supplies are included.
Summer Art Camps with Joy Ferguson will be held in both June and July, for students entering 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.
The first session is June 24, 25, and 26, from 1-3 pm. The second session is July 22, 23, 24, from 1-3 pm. Tuition is $45 for each 3-day session.
Classes for Adults
Printmaking with Julie Mize will be held June 11-12, from 10 am to 12 noon. Tuition for the 2-day workshop is $50 for BAA members, and $65 for non-members, all supplies included.
Painting with Thread, an embroidery workshop with Julie Mize, will be July 8-9, from 9 am to 12 noon. On day one, students will learn basic stitches. Day 2 will include guided practice and completion of a student project. Tuition for the two-day workshop is $80 for BAA members, and $95 for non-members.
Register and pay for all classes in person at the Art Center, Mon-Fri, from 2-6 pm. Cash, checks, or cards are all accepted.
