The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

• Christopher Alan Martin pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Martin, on probation for the felony offense of Sexual Assault of a Child, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Christian Charles Carey, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver – Drug Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Carey, on probation for the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
• Jacob A. Gomez aka Jacob Alonzo Gomez, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Occlusion, was adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Gomez, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was revoked and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
