GuysAndDollsThe Brownwood Lyric Theatre will present its 12th annual Summer Musical Guys and Dolls which will open on Thursday, July 16th.  The Lyric Theatre’s stage will be transformed into early 1940s New York City as approximately 75 people including 50 actors and musicians bring the musical Guys and Dolls to life.

Director and Choreographer, Dr. Nancy Jo Humfeld (also the Artistic Director for the Lyric) has assembled a dynamic group of the Central Texas community that will sing and dance their way into your heart, according to Managing Director Eric Evans.

“Guys and Dolls has some wonderful familiar music including ‘Luck Be a Lady,’ ‘I Love You a Bushel & a Peck’ and ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat’,” said Evans.  “We are so grateful to the Arts Council of Brownwood for their investment in all of our endeavors here at the Lyric and especially our showcase theatrical musical production in July!”

Tickets are currently available at $20 for adults, $10 for students and for groups of 10 or more, tickets are just $15 each.  Tickets to Guys and Dolls are part of the Lyric’s Patron Ticket package.  Anyone interested in enjoying the musical are encouraged to reserve seats as soon as possible.  Visit Brownwood’s Lyric Theatre TICKETS to order your tickets and reserve a choice of seats.

Guys and Dolls offers amazing choreography, singing and chorus line will be a treat for any age, according to Evans.

Performances will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on July 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25.  A matinee performance is also offered at 2:30 p.m. on July 19, 24 and 26.
