FlagCBLogoOn Thursday, July 2nd, the local Coldwell Banker office will be placing American flags in the yards of over 8,000 residences in the area.

Mark Campbell said, “This has become an annual tradition for the agents, their families and friends, and this is our 17th year to participate.  It is a fun and very rewarding project and the local community always encourages us to continue the tradition.”

Campbell explained he assigns the agents an area to cover and they work at their own pace.  Some will be putting out flags starting Thursday afternoon and others will work all night if necessary to make sure the flags are in place by Friday morning, July 3rd. Real estate agents and staff that will be putting flags out this year include Nesa Morelock, Gary Twiford, Jeff Hibbs, Royce Blackburn, Sandi Parrish, Brad and Sheri Wells, Donna Howey, Sue Wells, Vann Stanford, Stephen Young, Jennifer Newton, Don Holland, Terry Blagg, Clint Broughton,  Kimon and Rene’ Faubion, and Mark, Kathy, Courtney, and Callie Campbell.

Residents are encouraged to treat the flags with respect, and when they become faded or weather worn, to please remove them and dispose of the flag appropriately. Residents may also drop off used flags at Coldwell Banker’s office at 1900 Austin Avenue, or call to have an agent pick them up.  Coldwell Banker will take care of the flag disposal.

“We ask that people accept the flags as our way of saying ‘thank you’ to this community and showing appreciation to this great nation that we live and work in,” stated Campbell.

Residents who are not in an area that receives a flag are encouraged to drop by Coldwell Banker’s office at 1900 Austin Avenue to receive a complimentary flag while supplies last.
