Sunday, June 28

*10:37 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to signal a turn and for a defective brake lamp.  According to the report, during the stop an odor of marijuana was detected and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.  The driver, identified as 28-year-old John Raymond Wilkerson, was arrested for narcotics found in the vehicle (possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces) and for attempting to destroy and/or conceal some of the narcotics.  Wilkerson was also charged for not having a driver’s license and the truck having an expired license plate.

Monday, June 29

*2:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  This call led to the arrest of 17-year-old Rebecca Kayla Rivas for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*5:59 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a female identified as 29-year-old Barbara Benson of Brownwood had walked out on a tab totaling $134 at the restaurant.  Benson was located and arrested for theft and on an active warrant for an unrelated case of theft.

*9:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding an assault with injury.  According to the report, a suspect has been identified.

*9:09 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding theft.  According to the report, an employee stated that a female had failed to pay for $145.09 worth of diesel fuel earlier in the day.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Billy Jack Salas, Jr. of Abilene on warrants related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and motion to revoke/endangering a child.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Daniel Lee Tillery on a warrant related to open store yard/solid waste and another active warrant.

Tuesday, June 30

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Brian Kinsey of Early on a warrant for motion to adjudicate/aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  Kinsey was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
