Daryl Chrane, beloved father, Navy veteran, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 74 with Christy and Dakota at his side.

Born on July 20, 1950 in Brownwood, Texas to Mary and Billy Joe Chrane. Daryl grew up with a deep love for his family, a passion for life’s simple joys. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a commitment that remained a source of pride throughout his life.

Daryl was a man of faith who found great joy and comfort in the lord God. He cherished time spent fishing on quiet waters, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and sharing laughs and stories with those closest to him.

Daryl is preceded in death by son’s Stephen Chrane and Jonah Chrane, a brother Thomas Chrane, and a sister Connie Roberts (Chrane).

Daryl is survived by daughters Christie Miller, Christy Smith and husband Sam, son Dakota Chrane, daughter-in-law Sarah Chrane, sister’s (twin) Caryl Johnson, Terri Strength and husband Billy, Kathy Hobbs and husband Charlie, grandsons Robin Miller, Logan Cotter, Cash Chrane, and Race Smith.

Our dad’s presence is greatly missed already. He fought an extremely hard battle with leukemia for 9 months with many ups and downs, but he never quit fighting.

Services are entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
