Six BHS A Cappella Choir Members Receive Outstanding Marks at State Solo Contest; New 2015-16 Members Named

Six members of Brownwood High School’s A Cappella Choir received a perfect score from judges at the UIL State Solo Contest in Austin on Monday, May 25, 2015.  Members that received the outstanding scores were Sadie Perez, Katie Griffin, Wyatt Burleson, McKenna McDonald, Kalin Young, and Albert Nguyen.

New A Cappella Choir Members for the 2015-16 school-year were also recently announced.  BHS Choir members auditioned in May for a spot in next year’s A Cappella Choir, and many of those that have been selected have already begun working on audition music in hopes of being a part of the district, region, or even the state choir in 2015-16.  New choir members are listed below.

Soprano 1:  Sophie Darneal, Katie Griffin, Mary McIver, Sadie Perez, and Mariah Solis

Soprano 2:  Taylor Ancinec Lewis, Hannah Angeles, Jacqueline Armenta, Payton Reid, and Maycee Wilson

Alto 1: Abigail Ibarra, Rylee Hubbard, McKenna McDonald, Shelby Tervooren, and Jennie Wagner

Alto 2:  Sarah Church, Rebekah Greenhaw, Kylee McCoy, Natalie Sliger, and Maria Wilkins

Tenor 1:  Wyatt Burleson, JT Jones, Albert Nguyen, Jack Robinson, and Clay Townsend

Tenor 2:  Caleb Bostick, Thomas Hodges, Jr., Dashawn Johnson, Jason Sanchez, and Bruce Sterling, Jr.

Bass 1:  James Davis, Logan Dick, Paul David Quillin, Jesse Sanchez, and Jeff Smith

Bass 2:  Bradlee Brackett, Eli Perez, Jeremy Roberson, Chevy Robertson, and Isreal Vela
