Meena Julthong Arons was born in northern Thailand in a small village close to Burma on February 1, 1957. Her mother died a month after she was born. Meena was taken care of for three years by her mother’s sister. At three years old, she and her father moved to Bangkok, Thailand, where her father taught school. Her father died when she was fifteen. She was then raised by her godmother. As a young woman, she worked for two different hotels in Bangkok where she became a supervisor of housekeeping.

Meena and her husband, Richard Arons, of San Saba, lived in Saudi Arabia for 8 years. Their daughter Tina was born in Houston, Texas, but spent the first three years with her mother and father in Saudia Arabia before moving to San Saba, Texas. Meena proudly became a United States citizen with the help of her daughter and husband.

She had a deep love for vegetable gardening and everything she touched grew Texas sized. Meena nourished many people from her garden. She loved fishing, feeding her pet deer, and spending time with her family.

Meena is survived by her husband, her daughter, two step daughters Debbie Engel and Lorena Dittmar, and five grandchildren, Michelle Lockhart, Mackey Bolinger, Tyler Dittmar, Audrey Atkinson-Dittmar, and Torrin Belgrod-Arons.

A graveside service for Meena will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2025 at the Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs, Tx. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the San Saba Volunteer Fire Department – P.O. Box 331 San Saba, Texas 76877.

Online condolences can be made at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com
