LUBBOCK – The Brownw00d Lady Lions golf team placed eighth out of 18 teams at the Region I-4A preview tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Lions posted a 741 composite score over the two-day, 36-hole event, following a 389 Friday with a season-best score of 352 Saturday.

Tristyn Garcia placed 11th overall with a 162 total after an 88 Friday and a career-best 74 Saturday.

Also competing for the Lady Lions were River Jones with a 170 after rounds of 86 and 84; London England with a 179 after rounds of 94 and 85; Geyer Stewardson with a 230 after rounds of 121 and 109; and Jacie Camp with a 264 after rounds of 143 and 121.

The Lady Lions are back in action Monday at the Graham Invitational.
