The San Angelo office of the National Weather Service is hosting a Weather Spotting Program on Saturday, March 1 at Howard Payne University’s MacArthur Academy of Freedom at the corner of Austin and Coggin. The class will take place in Newman Hall Room 117 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The cost is fre as the program will train you to be able to identify severe weather and how to report it. Weather spotters are very important. They save peoples’ lives and prevent injury. Reporting severe weather allows people in danger to take cover from tornadoes, large hail, high winds of flooding.
