Travis Dewayne Reeves, 66, of Blanket, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on February 3rd, 2025, in Pleasanton, Texas. A come-and-go Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on February 22nd, 2025, at J-R’s Social Club, 5995 HWY 67/84 (Bangs HWY) Brownwood, Texas 76801. Travis Dewayne Reeves was born in Tyler, Texas to Grace Lawson and Clarence Reeves Sr. on December 5th, 1958.
Travis was known for his huge personality. Endearingly known as “Mr. Fix IT,” he would do anything for you. He loved dancing, camping with his wife and family, and spending much of his time on his two-wheels, also known as a motorcycle. He never met a stranger, had an infectious laugh, and gave the biggest, hardest hugs you can get.
Travis Dewayne Reeves was preceded in death by his father Clarence Reeves Sr., stepdad, Ben Lawson, daughter Candace Reeves, brother Mark Lynch, brother Jackie Lawson, sister Terri Ann “Missy” Lynch, and sister Punkin Betty Lawson Forester.
Travis Dewayne Reeves is survived by his wife Yvonne Reeves, mother Grace Lawson, daughter Haily Reeves in Louisiana, son Travis Reeves in Beaumont, Texas, daughter Melinda Reeves in Montgomery, Texas; stepson Jason Bennett, and stepdaughter Jennifer Forisha, brother Brian Duke, brother Clarence Reeves Jr., brother Marc Reeves, brother Ben “Bo” W. Lawson Jr., brother Willie L. Lawson, brother Billy Lawson, sister Teresa Tiner (Bruce), sister Barbara Cassidy (Jon), sister Iris Turner (Mike), sister Carol York (Donnie), sister Anita Canon (Wade) and six grandchildren.
The Reeves family is deeply grateful for the expressions of love shown during the loss of their loved one. Your thoughts, prayers, and kindness have been a comfort and a source of strength to them. Your kind expressions will always be cherished.
Services are entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
