May Tigers 71, Santa Anna Mountaineers 26

MAY – The TABC Class A No. 15 May Tigers, who have already clinched the District 21-1A championship, moved within one victory of running the table against their league foes with a 71-26 home victory over Santa Anna Friday.

The Tigers (28-2, 11-0) opened a 25-5 advantage after one period that grew to 46-15 at halftime, and stood at 64-18 after three quarters.

May received 19 points from Kobey Morris, 12 from Brody Stice, nine from Ben Harrell, six each from Kaden Watkins and Mikey Scheriger, five from JD White, four apiece from Tyran Perry and Jackson Lusk, and three points each from Wyatt Hardy and Kaiden Adams.

The Tigers wrap up their regular season schedule at Blanket Tuesday.

Huckbay Lady Indians 59, May Lady Tigers 37

HUCKABAY – The May Lady Tigers’ 18-game win streak came to an end in a playoff warm-up game Friday night, as the Huckabay Lady Indians claimed a 59-37 home victory.

May (20-9) trailed 18-15 after one quarter, 34-20 at halftime, and 42-31 through three frames.

Scoring for May were Mia Musick with 14 points, Kenlyn King with 10, Jordyn Gerhardt with six, McKenna Landes with four, and Chloe Lord with three points.

The Lady Tigers will visit Lingleville at 6:15 p.m. Monday in first round playoff action.
