The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of February 5:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

FAIR. Water stained; 50 degrees; 0.07 feet above pool. Black bass to 5 pounds are poor on jigs around bait balls in open water scoping and squarebill crankbaits in 2-4 feet. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows in brush piles 15-20 feet. White bass are slow to 2 pounds on minnow style baits and Alabama rigs scattered around the lake. Catfish are slow on cut bait and livers.

LAKE CISCO

SLOW. Water slight stain; 49 degrees; 12.61 feet below pool. Crappie are hit-or-miss with minnows. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water normal stain; 50 degrees; 0.40 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are dispersed throughout the lake relating primarily near stumps and boat houses. Crappie are slow with jigs and minnows.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 52 degrees; 23.05 feet below pool. Fish are in a spin out due to the warming trend. The upper end is slightly cooler at 50 degrees and the water is stained. Black bass are slow to fair with a few fish ranging from 8-11 pounds caught this last week. Fish up to 4 pounds can be caught on jerkbaits, swimbaits and Alabama rigs. Some bass are in 10-15 feet of water on brush edges, with some fish as deep as 35 feet. Crappie are fair suspended 20-30 feet down over deep trees in 40-50 feet of water. White bass are slow with fish hugging the bottom. Casting very deep water spoons is working best. Some channel catfish catches reported in 25-35 feet of water on a variety of stink baits. LAKE PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 45 degrees; 0.14 feet above pool. Catfish are good on cut bait. Hybrid bass are good on swimbaits.
