ACSRelay4LifeCare Nursing and Rehab along with CMS Healthcare will host a “Fiesta Parade of Pride” fundraiser benefiting the 2015 Relay for Life from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 at the Care Nursing and Rehab facility.

Local car enthusiasts are invited to enter their “hot ride” in the parade which requires no entry fee.

CMS Healthcare will serve Pedro’s famous tamale lunch for a donation of $8 during the fundraiser event.

Other activities including an auction, cake walk, fiesta bingo, music, pound the piñata, and a challenge to “beat the heat” of Lemmon’s BBQ’s Bubba Pepper will also be held to help raise funds for Relay for Life.

Donations are accepted and needed according to event organizers.  To make a donation, please call 325-642-0363.

The 2015 Brown County Relay for Life will be held on May 22nd from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. at a new venue for the event, Longhorn Stadium in Early.

This year’s Relay will be in honor of Judy Day, who served as a counselor at Early ISD. This year’s co-chairs are Elaine Hall and Rick Phelps.

Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event of the American Cancer Society where individuals and teams walk/run overnight to show their commitment in the fight against cancer and to help raise money for cancer research and support.
