The Heart of Texas Railroad Festival will be held this weekend at the Depot Cultural Center, April 18th and 19th.

This special event features a gigantic model train display (14 feet by 58 feet) with running trains.

There will be interactive games for children, a miniature live steam locomotive, with an adult ticket price of $3 and all children under age 12 are free.

Those attending are invited to enjoy two locations for one price.  Entrance to the Model Train Festival also gives admittance to the Lehnis Railroad Museum across the street.

The festival will be open Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Heart of Texas Railroad Festival is sponsored by the City of Brownwood, the Early Chamber of Commerce, and the Lehnis Heart of Texas Model Railroad Club.
