Early 2023 High School graduate Caydon Laird is preparing to start his 2nd baseball season at  Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. After a successful collegiate summer baseball season in the Old North State League. The ONSL is comprised of players from all College levels and from all over the US as well as other countries.

Caydon led the 20-team East Coast League in wins and strikeouts with a 3-1 record with 39 strikeouts in 34.3 innings pitching in various roles. 

As well as getting great playoff experience with the Sandhill Bogey’s in the Championship games. Caydon finished the playoff run with a record of 1-0 and 10 K’s in 6.33 innings. He is excited to head back to North Carolina in a few days after winter break workouts and get the 2025 season underway with the Bears.
