Early Lady Horns 47, Eastland 39

EASTLAND – The Early Lady Horns moved to 4-1 in District 8-3A basketball action with a 47-39 road victory over Eastland Friday night.

The Lady Horns received 14 points from Jamie Vassar, 10 from Aliyah Harlan, eight each from Jordan Simmons and Avery Williams, four from Andie Simpson, and three points from Gabby Benson.

Early visits Tolar at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

May Tigers 61, Cross Plains 46

MAY – The TABC Class A No. 14 May Tigers notched their 18th win in a row and remained undefeated in District 21-A action with a 61-46 home victory over Cross Plains Friday night.

May (19-1, 3-0) led 15-8 after one quarter, 35-17 at halftime, and 45-34 through three frames.

The Tigers were sparked by Brody Stice’s 21 points along with 11 each from Tyran Perry and Kaden Watkins, five from Ben Harrell, four each from Kobey Morris and JD White, three from Lane Goodson, and two points from Jackson Lusk.

May next ventures to Sidney for a 7:15 p.m. Tuesday district tilt.

May Lady Tigers 50, Cross Plains 28

MAY – The May Lady Tigers won their 10th game in a row to improve to 12-8 on the season and 5-0 in District 21-A competition, 50-28 over the Cross Plains Lady Buffaloes Friday.

The Lady Tigers were in front 17-2 after one quarter, 27-5 at halftime, and 39-18 after three periods.

Scoring for May were Jordyn Gerhardt with 20 points, Mia Musick with 13, Kenlyn King and McKenna Landes with six apiece and Chloe Lord with five points.

May visits Sidney at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Zephyr Bulldogs 50, Cherokee 29

ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Bulldogs remained undefeated against District 25-A competition, and head coach Caleb Walls secured his 350th career victory, 50-29 over Cherokee Friday.

Zephyr (11-10, 3-0) led 14-6 after one quarter, 27-13 at halftime, and 37-24 through three periods.

The Bulldogs received 18 points from CJ Byers, 10 from Reese Hamm, seven from Wyatt Stevens, six from Cooper Walls, four from Hunter Davidson, three from Bauer Blair, and two points from Ethan Byers.

Zephyr visits Brookesmith at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Blanket Tigers 57, Rising Star 32

BLANKET – The Blanket Tigers improved to 2- 0 in District 21-A basketball action and 12-3 for the season with a 57-32 home triumph over Rising Star Friday.

The Tigers were in front 20-6 after one quarter, 35-23 at halftime, and 43-28 heading into the fourth period.

Mason Beck scored 20 points to pace the Tigers trailed by 17 from Cameron Aultman, 13 from Kannon Kensing, five from Albert Espinosa and two points from Kade Russell.

Blanket next travels to Gustine at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Blanket Lady Tigers 55, Rising Star 15

BLANKET – The Blanket Lady Tigers moved to 2-2 against District 21-A foes with a 55-15 home win over Rising Star Friday.

The Lady Tigers were in front 13-1 after one period, 31-6 at halftime, and 43-7 heading into the fourth quarter.

Blanket received 25 points from Karli Kinkade, 11 points from MaKenzie Willis, six from Lexi French, four from Audyona Flores, three from Mason Isom, and two points apiece from Dorothy Larkin, Dallas Moreno, and Aubrie Willis.

The Lady Tigers will next visit Gustine at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
