Joyce Elaine Pugh, 76, of Early, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Born in Pensacola, Florida, to Elsie (Chavers) Adams, Joyce lived a life defined by her unwavering faith and her love for both God and those around her.

Joyce devoted her life to serving the Lord, exemplifying His love through her kindness, generosity, and compassion. She had a tender heart for animals, often taking in and caring for them as part of her family, including her beloved Penelope the Pig. Her easygoing nature and genuine warmth left a mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She will be laid to rest at Bangs Cemetery during a private family graveside service on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Adams, and her brother, Richard Larry Ashley.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, John Pugh and his wife Jamie, along with their daughters Riley-Anne and Sarah; and her youngest son, Jason, and his children Chase and Noel. Joyce is also survived by her two sisters, Sheila Hendrix and her husband Don of Floresville, Texas, and Charlotte Cook and her husband Byron of Pensacola, Florida; as well as one nephew, three nieces, several great-nephews and great-nieces, one great-great-niece, and one great-great-nephew.

Joyce’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
