SlaymakerLindaLinda Slaymaker, age 43, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her home.

Memorial Services for Linda will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Freedom Fellowship Church in Early with Dr. Dan Chapman officiating.  Private interment will follow at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Linda was born to Douglas and Janet (Powell) Welcher on March 26, 1972 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  She moved to Brownwood in 1996.  Linda married, Mitch Slaymaker, August 15, 1997 in Brown County.  Linda was a Registered Nurse; she worked for Brownwood Regional Medical Center as a Charge Nurse in the ER for 15 years before changing careers to better care for their two precious daughters.  She was working at Integra Care as a Case Manager, before her passing.  Linda loved being outdoors and camping, but most of all being with her family.

Left to cherish Linda’s memories are her husband, Mitch Slaymaker; two daughters, Payton and Taylor Slaymaker; sister, Stephanie Welcher Biron and husband Alan of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; brother, Patrick Welcher and wife Erin of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; step-mother, Jane Welcher; father-in-law, Ron Slaymaker of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; mother-in-law, Judy Locker and husband Bryan of Langley, British Columbia; brothers-in-law, Reed, Rylie, and Parker Slaymaker all of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; sisters-in-law, Amber Pederson and husband Michael of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Chantal Locker Garcea and husband Reece of Langley, British Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Janet Welcher; and mother-in-law, Linda Slaymaker.
