Paula Glenn Hudson Campbell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 11, 2024, in Brownwood, Texas after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was 78 years old.

Born in Brownwood, Texas on October 3, 1946, Paula spent her early years in Hall and Winchell, Texas. Her family moved to Sierria Vista, Arizona in the 1950s. She attended Arizona State University where she met her husband to be, Edwin. They were married in Sierria Vista on May 30, 1969, and together for over 55 years. Her life journey took her across the country, living in Arizonia, Oklahoma, Kansas and Tennessee. Each of these places added to the rich tapestry of her life and Paula cherished the unique experiences that came with each. No matter where she lived, she always carried a deep love for her family and her roots in Texas. She lived her last 24 years in Mercury, Texas where her family history extends well over 120 years. During those years she directed the renewing and furnishing of her Great Grandparents house in Mercury, she loved to decorate.

Paula was a living memory bank of her relatives’ stories and histories. She took great pride in sharing the details of their lives and preserving the legacy of her loved ones.

Paula was a devout Christian and her warmth, kindness, thoughtfulness, and devotion to those she loved left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Paula is preceded by her parents, Norman and Myrtle Hudson.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin, son Sherrick, daughter in law Jenny, and grandchildren, Luke, Katie and Cody.

The family wishes to extend a great and heartfelt thank you to the people of Alpha Omega Hospice and Brownwood Nursing and Rehab. During the early days of hospice care while Paula was home, Shandalyn, Michelle, and Miranda provided Paula with warm and loving care.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 16 at 10 a.m. at Cox Cemetery in Rochelle, Texas with Frank Griffin officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Cox Cemetery Association at 856 Co. Rd 448, Rochelle, Tx 76872 or a charity of one’s choice.
