Brownwood ISD issued the following press release Monday morning:

This month’s spotlight teacher is Pettis Allgood. Ms. Allgood is a 1st-grade teacher at Coggin Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Interdisciplinary Elementary Education from Howard Payne University and is a proud graduate of Brownwood High School. Ms. Allgood is a state certified teacher (Elementary Self Contained, Art, and Reading 1-6) and is a dedicated educator with over 27 years at Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Allgood is in her fifth year at Coggin Elementary, and her second year as the team lead for first grade. She leads her team with joy and lots of humor and does a fantastic job. Parents and students love her. Graduates often come back year after year just to see Ms. Allgood. She has an unbelievable amount of patience and is willing to do anything if it benefits her students. She is often seen going to extra trainings and learning new techniques to better help her students with disabilities.

Ms. Allgood is the perfect example of how a teacher should encompass the saying, “All means all.” Brownwood ISD is fortunate to have exceptional educators like Ms. Allgood, who go above and beyond to lead with a smile and inspire others to achieve their best.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Tisha Goodrich. Ms. Goodrich serves as the Assistant Principal’s Clerk at Brownwood High School. She
holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management Technology from Texas State Technical College and is in her third year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Goodrich is a vital part of the Brownwood High School team, consistently demonstrating dedication and a positive attitude. Her coworkers describe her as a hard-working and invaluable asset who tackles every task with a smile. On even the busiest days, when coaches and teachers are out during various events, Ms. Goodrich seamlessly ensures classes are covered and assists staff without frustration.

Brownwood ISD is proud to have exceptional staff members like Ms. Goodrich, whose tireless efforts and cheerful demeanor make a difference for students, staff, and the entire campus community
