The public auction for the Davis-Morris Funeral Home building has been postponed.  The auction was to be held today at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown County Courthouse.  A crowd of about two dozen persons gathered and waited for over an hour at the courthouse steps.  Finally Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes, who was in attendance, called the trustees (Richard H. Hester, Mark Cummings, Dick Vetters, and David Garvin) and was told that the auction will not be held today, and may be re-scheduled for a later date.
